Clash of The Titans is a remake of the 1981 cult classic of the same name. Zeus (Liam Neeson) created man. He gets his power from their worship. As the centuries pass, man has started to lose faith in Zeus, and thus his power has waned. He sends his brother Hades (Ralph Fiennes) to make an example of the non-believers. This backfires, and leaves Zeus with less power than ever before. Hades then takes advantage of the situation to seize control for himself.

Perseus (Sam Worthington) is the son of Zeus who has never met his father or knew of his lineage. Hades’ attack costs Perseus his family and leaves him plenty pissed off. Perseus now sets out on a quest to end Hades’ reign and exact revenge. Along the way, he must fight the snake-haired Medusa, giant scorpions, and a titanic beast called The Kraken.

There are a good number of extras on the DVD, including Maximum Movie Mode, which allows you to see a number of stages of design for various special effects, wardrobe, makeup, choreography and more.

Focus Point provides short featurettes dedicated to the film. The featurettes cover topics including Zeus, Hades, creating the monster, Scorpioch, stunts, bringing Medusa to life, The Kraken and more.

There’s a brief look at star Sam Worthington, and what he had to do in order to prepare for his role of Perseus. Rounding out the extras are a few deleted scenes, including a Zeus-versus-Perseus scene and an alternate ending.

Clash of The Titans is a fun remake of a campy cult-classic, and, in a spot of good news for fans of the film, it was designed to be a trilogy. The next chapter will start shooting in 2011, with a release date of 2012 and unlike this version--which was converted to 3-D in post-production--the sequels will be shot in 3-D.

Special Features include:

- Maximum Movie Mode
- Featurettes
- Deleted scenes
