For his latest recording, Sacha Sacket and the Ladykillers: Live at the Zone,
Sacket and his all-girl band have compiled 10 songs of heartbreak, loneliness, and romantic longing.

The opening track, Brandon Boyd, gets the CD off to a strong start, with Sacket’s haunting vocals meshing perfectly with the work of Alexa Brinkschulte on drums, Anna Rosales on bass guitar, and Jennifer Trani on electric guitar.

The lyrics reflect feelings of alienation and a desire for belonging which will likely strike a deep chord in LGBT listeners.

The beautiful and poignant Stay begins with a spare piano accompaniment which underscores Sacket’s passionate vocals.

Desire is a moody rocker packed with lots of raw emotion.

"Fortune cookie will always take your side, you will crumble from the light," Sacket sings.

The track is a warning of the consequences for those who attempt to live on the wild side.

Judy (For Shame), Maybe You Can Save Me (From You), and I Just Can’t are also standouts because of Sacket’s melancholy lyrics and superb work by the Ladykillers.

These songs are the result of an artist with a lot to say and an engaging way of saying it.

Live at the Zone will stick with you long after you’ve taken the disc out of your CD player.
