With the recent coming out of Republican Rep. Mike Fleck, Pennsylvania has gained both a Republican and a Democrat -- Rep. Mike Sims -- who are openly gay.

Mike Fleck, a Pennsylvania Republican state representative, came out of the closet last weekend, which makes him the Keystone State’s first openly gay lawmaker from either party.

The nation spoke on Tuesday and made history by electing out Democratic politicians but not two openly gay members of the GOP: one running for mayor of San Diego; the other for Congress from Massachusetts.
