Known as one of the country’s foremost LGBT capitals, Fort Lauderdale definitely offers visitors a plethora of dining, entertainment and cultural options, not to mention miles of pristine beaches perfect for those looking to catch some rays.

The low-down on The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Florida, as it’s grown from a beachy, Rat Pack hideaway to the perfect backdrop for your Bladerunner-themed Facebook pics. There’s a motorcycle riding pastry chef and glass-bottomed pool too.

Now in its 5th year, the Key West Pride Film Festival at Tropic Cinema has been sponsored and programmed by the Education department at AIDS Help since its inception, with the goal to provide free public access to cinematic works, some little-seen.

Last year, Miami Beach Gay Pride drew 35,000 people, making it the city’s largest single-day event. This year, organizers stretched the event out over a weekend, to accommodate the 60,000 people they expect to attend.

BeachBear Weekend will hit the sands of Fort Lauderdale, May 10-14 2012, bringing hot men from around the world to experience all the top gay men’s destination has to offer.

South Florida is recognized as a mecca for LGBT people of all ages, from all parts of the world. Adrian Evans, our man at Morton’s, is 30-years-old and a tennis player. In fact, he moved from Cincinnati, Ohio about two years ago to have more sunny days.

The highlight of Fort Lauderdale’s Pride week is the Stonewall Street Festival and Parade. Named after the famous NYC riots that initiated the gay rights movement, this parade is still a celebration of our human rights in today’s society, HIV/AIDS awareness and diversity. This famous Pride event starts with a street festival early in the afternoon, followed by the parade and club dancing on the closed down Wilton Manors’ drive. This year’s event brought over 25 thousand people who celebrated gay pride in Ft. Lauderdale. EDGE joined this big party, here are the pics!
